Mary Ann Vallejo Roberts (Nina), 58, of Coal Valley, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospice, Bettendorf.

There will be a rosary at 10:30 a.m. with visitation starting at 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, East Moline. Services will follow at noon. The Rev. Duane Jack will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary"s Catholic Cemetery, East Moline.

Mary Ann was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Goodland, Kan., to Natividad and Harriet Masquat Vallejo.

She worked at Oscar Meyer for 32 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Mary"s Catholic Church, East Moline.

Mary Ann enjoyed cooking for her family and welcomed everyone into her home. She attended all of the children"s sports events and was their biggest fan. She will always be the rock of the family, and the love she gave everyone will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Kimberly Marie Roberts, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Xavier C. Watts, Mahnee M. Watts, Kiera M. Watts, Malique K. Roberts; brothers, Sonny (Pat) Vallejo, Moline, Angelo (Julie) Vallejo, St. Charles, Ill., Pedro (Patti) Vallejo, Rudy (Debbie) Vallejo, Jose Vallejo, all of East Moline; sisters, Julia, Marcella and Petra Vallejo, all of Moline, Lucy (Domingo) Moody, Davenport, Sally (Bill) Riley, East Moline, twin to Anna (Warren) Hallstrom, Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Theresa Mahan and Maxine Vallejo.

Mary Ann comes from a big family who would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
