Libby Diane York Paskvan, 66, originally from East Moline, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 27, 2018, in her Pahrump, Nev., home. She was born Nov. 17, 1951, to Paul and Mary Lou York, the youngest of their five children. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Anthony “Tony”; siblings, Roxanne (Dick) Sunlin, Greg (Susan) York, Debbie (Larry) Surratt, and Wendy (Bud) Williams; sons, Aaron (Bess) Paskvan and Cory (Cassie) Paskvan; and daughter, Carlee Paskvan; and eight grandchildren.
She is a graduate of United Township High School. Libby was an avid skier who enjoyed being part of ski patrol and teaching her kids to ski at a young age. She retired from East Moline Metal. Libby loved her family, and we all loved her. She was always eager to hear and share stories of her children’s adventures. Her family mourns her passing but are also deeply grateful for her life and cherished memories.
A private Celebration of Life will take place in Nevada, where they lived after retirement.

I have many treasured memories of the years shared as Ski Patrolers at Snowstar with Libby and Tony. We worked hard and played hard. Libby will be missed greatly. My condolences to Tony and family
