John W. Bohlander, 57, of Silvis, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at GenesisMedicalCenter, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 18, with a time of remembrance at 7 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born April 29, 1951, in Monmouth, to Paul and Dorothy Poulson Bohlander. He married Therese Gusse Nov. 10, 1994, in Rock Island.
He attended BlackHawkCollege, where he received an accounting degree. He enjoyed music, karaoke, playing pool and sports. John was a loving father, son and grandfather.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Bohlander; wife, Therese; children, John Jr. (Tami), Silvis, Kris (Heather), Rock Island, Stormy (Sean) Hicks, Milan, Robert (Amber) Cooksey, Hillsdale, James (Carissa), Colona, Crystal (Carlos) Gonzalez, Moline, Wendy (Billy) Floydd, Georgia; brother, Patrick (Linda), Davenport; grandchildren, Catherina, Samantha, Torie, Dalton, Cody, Jade, Kaleb, Christian, Alyssa, Monika, Robert III, Summer, Ashton, Tyler, Kody, Dylan, Madison, Ethan, Carlos, Lillianna, Nathan, Destiny. He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, James R.
