Kathy Lynn LaBuda, 71 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Friday, December 16, 2022. She was born January 26, 1951 to the late Frank and Kathryne (Galag) Dolleslager in Silvis, IL. On March 5, 1983, Kathy married her husband, Don at the Antioch United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2000. Kathy worked for the Antioch Public Library District from 1982-2016. She was honored by having the children’s department of the library was named after her. Kathy was an avid reader and enjoyed genealogy. She was an active member of the Antioch Women’s Club. 

Survivors include, her children, Dan and Julie; granddaughter, Alexis; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Along with her husband and parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister, Gwen.

Visitation will be held from 3:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002. Interment will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Antioch Public Library District, 757 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002.
