I must say I was rather shocked to read of Fred's passing.  Fred and I went all through school together, Morrison, Clark, and of course East Side.  He was always active in sports and was very popular.  We lived about a block from each other and often played together as kids.  Sorry to say that I will not be able to attend his services as I live in Florida and have a medical procedure scheduled for the day before.  Fred will be sadly missed by family and friends.

I too was surprised at Fred's passing. The thing I can say about Fred is that he had couth. We all know what uncouth means and making people feel comfortable around you is the opposite of uncouth. I always enjoyed being around Fred and swapping jokes and memories. Reunions will have a big hole in them with out him.

Fred was such a nice guy.  I only knew of him in high school.  He was a class officer and so was I.  We were never friends until we had some rather fisty emails going back and forth during the 2000 election days.  After that time, we were happy to call each other friends.  I will miss our emails back and forth to each other.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  Rest in peace my friend.    Marlene
