Nick, we were friends since Sunday school at Landsdown Baptist Church before the 1st grade.  There are just too many shared memories to talk about them all.  One of the best though is our undefeated season at Landsdown Baptist Church when we went 14 and 0 as junoirs.  Another was when Fred and Mike were at basic training camp in 1961, and you and I went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for spring break.  You were as good as friend as any person could have and as I look back I can't recall ever having one disagreement in our lives.  We shared many first together.  Later in life we both raced horses together at Fairmount Park and played lots of poker together.  I miss you very much and care about you a great deal.  Along with Bill Carl and Fred Begemann, you three were as close as friends as a guy could have.  Jack

In addition to a classmate, I knew him as Chief Mamino, Collinsville Chief of Police. He'd arrest 'em, I'd defend 'em. Who would have thought it?

He had some real tragedy in his life and was always cordial when we'd meet, either in court or at a watering hole. Jack Carey
