I was greatly saddened and surprised to learn of Patty's passing. She was an extremely nice person and a friend to all. I knew Patty since the 2nd grade. She lived across the street from me in the French Village/Prospect Park areas near East St Louis. We both were part of a small group of 10-12 kids who went to Bluff View, Clark and Eastside together. Bluff View was the smallest elementary school in the East St Louis School System. It had five grades in two rooms. For our 6th Grade we were bussed to Charles Manners Elementary.

Pat Reeves came from humble beginnings but achieved a lot. The  last time I saw her was at our 25th reunion. She and her husband, Glen Pfersy (Assumption 1961 or 1962) owned several businesses. One was a dental supply company and the other involved several workout facilities which Pat managed. Pat had obviously been using her facilities as she was in great shape and looked like a young Liz Taylor.
