Carl never graduated with our class. He passed away at age 15. Carl was born in Sweden, but moved to Edina and I met him when we were in grade school at Concord Elementary. When we were kids he had a pet guinea pig named "Harry." Harry's fur stood straight up when you petted him the normal way--head to tail. That's a strange memory, but a good one. He was a good friend and I miss him.
Carl was my best friend-like a brother. I still miss him and will always consider his dying a great loss to myself, his family and the world. I hope to see him on the other side a long long time from now. To further the animal theme, he used to call bunnies "runny babbits." My family and I still call them that.
