Heyer, Delores "Casey" (née Holm) Delores passed away at age 84 peacefully at her home in Edina, Minnesota on July 19, 2018. She is survived by her son, Hal, and his wife, Jane, along with their three children, Ann, Grace, and Will. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elin Holm; her husband, Basil; and her sister, Margaret Freed. From her dad, she got her inspiration for music and from her mother her zest for teaching and travel. She graduated from Cokato High School and Hamline University. She received her Master's from St. Thomas University. She was a teacher at Edina High School for over 30 years and loved going to work. She enjoyed following her students in their activities and cherished the lifelong friendships she maintained over the years. She traveled the world extensively and cherished the friends she made along the way. Because of her interests in skiing, fishing, and music, she had an eclectic group of friends. She loved going to class reunions and hearing her students talk about the stock market and learning the bird dance to accordion music. She admonished her son that travel and education last forever and things rust, and she wanted everyone to know that. Private funeral and internment at Stockholm cemetery, Cokato, Minnesota. Memorials to a donor's choice or world peace and environmental groups. http://www.startribune.com/obituaries/detail/0000266672/?fullname=delores-casey-(holm)-heyer
