Ann-Marie and I were neighbors in Morningside, a block apart. We were in Girl Scouts together as well as the same class for 4-6th grades. I remember her frequently hanging out at the Weber Field ice rink with the rest of our classmates. I wish that we had reconnected in our adult years as we both followed artistic paths in our professional life. I think we would have found a lot in common. I'm glad she enjoyed a very busy and full life. Rest in peace, Ann-Marie.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I have memories of canoe trips in the Boundary Waters, annoying other passengers on the Grey Hound bus with our loud singing while traveling to canoe camp, Porky's Drive In, and climbing onto the roof of a building at night that was under construction. Mr. Rose had the contract for that building. While accompanying her father one day, Ann found out how to access the roof.  My memory is that those of us who were with her at Porky's thought it a very good idea to climb onto the roof of that building, which was across the street, and dance - and so we did. Thankfully, no one got hurt. Teenagers those days!!

It makes me happy to learn Ann lived an interesting and rewarding life, inspired by her love of art. My sincere condolences to her husband and their family. Rest gently, Ann.

Ann and I became friends in high school but we lost contact over the years. This past summer I read an article about the fine art documentaries of photographers David Husom and his wife Ann-Marie Rose. David put me in touch with her, and we began a brief correspondence in July. She informed me then of her pulmonary disease, which she thought was genetic. She also related many of our shared times together and funny memories: canoeing with classmates in the BWCAW, summer programs at Carleton College, and dressing up in “wild outfits” to cruise Lake Street. And she concluded, “Indeed I did find a perfect mate – he has been a wonderful husband”. Bless you David. Rest in peace, Ann-Marie.
