Abbey, Jean E., age 59, of Richfield, formerly Edina, passed away on Oct. 25, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Donald and Lois Abbey. Survived by brothers, John and Stephen; nieces, Janell, Lauren and Taylor; and nephew, Justin. Jean was passionate about her family and her Christian faith. Memorial service 7:00 P.M. Friday with visitation one hour prior at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield. Private interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Jean was truly a bright spirit and a good friend. She helped me raise my kids, coming over often and looking after them when we were out. She loved the movie "Man from Snowy River" and watched it with my kids almost every time she came over. She had a long, serious relationship with a man named Bruce who drove a black hearse. He was pretty wild looking but a gentle spirit too. She really valued her friends. My kids loved her and I still miss her.
