Elert, David Lawrence passed away from natural causes August 16th, 2022 at his home in Palm Springs, CA. David was born in Minneapolis on September 19th, 1953. He attended Edina High School graduating in 1972. He attended the University of Minnesota where he was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated in 1976. He was president of Gravure Engraving Co. Upon his retirement he moved to Palm Springs. David will be remembered by his many friends in Minnesota and Palm Springs for his easy smile and engaging personality. David is survived by his brother Barry (Linda) and sister Leslie Yount (Billy), niece Kelley Yount (Paige Stivers). Preceded in death by parents Charles Robert and Virginia Cox Elert. A memorial service for David will be held at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 19th. Private interment. Memorials preferred to donor's choice.
