Roberta (Robyn) Ellen Hawk Coman
June 10, 1954 - July 14, 2018
Robyn was born to Don E. and Lenora Schmidt Hawk in Bristow, OK. Robyn was a member of the Class of ’72 of Edmond High School. An active member of the Girls of ’72.
Robyn was the oldest of six. The surviving family include brother John and wife Janita; Sisters Susan and husband Paul Lavictoire; Elizabeth and husband Roger Hellwege. Passing before are brother Donnie and sister Becky.
The Marriage to Tom created a family of five children and four grandchildren. They are Stephanie Palmer, mother to William, Audrey and Abigail; Kimberly Coman and son Jaxson; Haley Coman and fiancé Kris Deuel; John Palmer and wife Ashley; and son David Palmer. Robyn so loved ALL of her family.
Robyn was also blessed with nieces, nephews and cousins. Though too many to name, they were all in her life, many with her in her last hours, sharing their love of Robbie.
Tom and Robyn’s goal was to put fun into dysfunctional. Robyn was really good at fun.
Robyn’s Love knew no bounds. She loved being outdoors, piddling in the garden, sitting drinking a beer, listing to the sounds of nature or John Prine singing his tunes. Camping. Going antiquing, junking, and garage sales.
She loved to read, watch old movies, scary movies. Playing board games. Having family and friends over to play games.
She loved her friends, co-workers, people that she touched professionally working for Oklahoma Employment Security Commission at local office, and as a program manager for workforce Oklahoma.
Though her passing created a void, it has given us all an opportunity to fill that void with Love, Kindness, Comfort and Fun.
Let us honor Robyn!
Her family requests that any donations be made to American Cancer Society or to any favorite charity. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/191618623/roberta-ellen-coman
