Randy and I dated in our junior year and he was one of the sweetest boys there was.  He had an ornery side too and loved to drive his car and dirt bike a little too fast.

He was so caring and kind.  He had wonderful parents and siblings as well.  I will forever treasure my time with him, Tom, Tim, Leslie, Andi and Virgil along with Andi's mom.

I have a short story of Randy's speedy side.  One afternoon during the school year (yes we had a long lunch shall we say, okay we ditched school.  We were out riding his dirt bike, him driving me on the back, we went sliding around the corner to his house and hit gravel.  The bike went down, Randy managed to keep us from totally hitting the ground but my ankle came off and hit the pavement.  We got back to his house and about 20 minutes later it became obvious I had a problem with the ankle.  So he drove me to the hospital, where both our moms worked, we were both dreading the two of them more than anything a doctor could do.  When we got to the hospital I checked in to the ER and of course there was his mom, Andi.  Let's just say Randy did not ride his bike for a couple of weeks and neither of us skipped school either.  The only thing we were allowed to do was school and home, which Andi made sure Randy picked me up every day, helped me to school and back home.
