Kevin Gray VIEW PROFILE

Kevin Gray

GRAY, Kevin

God picked a beautiful day – Wednesday, February 17, 2016 to take Kevin Gray home. Kevin William Gray, 57, born January 15, 1959 in Baltimore, MD, was the son of Franklin Delano Gray and Connie Pappadopoulos Gray.
Kevin went home after a long battle with COPD and respiratory issues. His family first moved to Edmond in 1964, then moved to Crawsfordsville, IN then back to Edmond in 1972. He attended Edmond Memorial High School and the University of Central Oklahoma. Kevin was a lover of muscle cars and had a bright yellow 1976 Trans Am that he was very proud of.
On August 20th, 1986 Kevin was sent to work at the Guthrie post office so he was not at the Edmond post office that day, when the famous Edmond post office massacre happened. He was fortunate to not be there but he carried survivor’s guilt for years over that incident.
After that Kevin worked in the food industry as a night manager of various grocery stores then as a manager at various restaurants for years. He will always be remembered for his fun-loving attitude, big-giving heart and living a simple uncluttered life. He loved riding his bike everywhere, and collecting items so he could give them away. He will be missed!
Kevin Is preceded in death by his mother, Connie Gray and grandmother, Anna Pappadopoulos. He is survived by father, Franklin D. Gray, Oklahoma City, one sister, Andrea G. Moon and husband Larry of Edmond and 3 brothers, Michael Gray and wife Jamie of Edmond, Franklin D. Gray Jr of Blackwell, and David R. Gray of Guthrie. And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and an extended family in West Virginia.
