Dan was a real car nut. I remember he and I took our girlfriends on a double date. I had my parents' old light blue Ford station wagon that night, but he showed up with a huge Plymouth hardtop equipped with a "hemi" engine and an automatic transmission. We took the Plymouth and cruised up to Everett on Highway 99. He loved to drive that car.
