Ronnie Stephen Sablatura

Ronnie Stephen Sablatura, age 69 of Wharton passed away December 2, 2014. He was born on May 21, 1945 in El Campo to parents Albina and Clem Sablatura.

Ronnie was reared in El Campo and attended St. Phillip Catholic School and El Campo High School. He moved to Wharton after marrying Nancy Hubenak on August 21, 1965. They had one son and daughter in law, Dwayne and Amy of Bellaire. He had one granddaughter who was truly his joy, Ella Sablatura.

Ronnie had been in the grocery sales business all his life having worked in El Campo & Wharton areas. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. His pasttime was fishing and drinking coffee with his many friends at BJ’s.

He is survived by his sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law Bessie Mae Boone, Vergil Michaelsen (El Campo), Mildred Ripple (Wharton), Shirley & Robert Davis (Plano), Clara & Karl Dahlstrom (Celina), Hollis Hubenak (Spring), and Carol & Roland Hubenak (Katy) and numerous nieces and nephews

His parents and one brother preceded him in death. Sisters-in-law/ brothers-in-law Bill Boone, Evelyn & James McVey, Izi Michaesen, Robert Ripple and Jimmy Hubenak also preceded him in death

Visitation will be Sunday, December 7, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., at Wharton Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 1:30 p.m. and services at 2 p.m., officiated by Reverand Ty J. Bazar.
