Dennis Joe Stary

Dennis Joe Stary, 73, of El Campo, passed away March 8, 2018. He was born on September 20, 1944 in El Campo to the late Joe Stary Jr. and Agnes Peter Stary. He was a tank driver in the U.S. National Guard and retired after 40 years as a supervisor for Coca-Cola.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Green Stary of El Campo; daughter, Sloane Kubala and husband Bill of El Campo; son, Slade Stary and wife Alicia of El Campo; grandchildren, Quinten Kubala, Kaid Kubala, Clay Glaze and Layton Stary and sister-in-law, Lorine Stary.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene Stary and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene “Bozo” and Helen “MeMe” Green.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Monday, March 12 at Triska Funeral Home and 5-6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Hillje with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass begins 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Billy Drapela, Brian Walters, Ray Allen Jaksch, Kirk Stary, Greg Eggemeyer, Loyd Nelson and Mike Prasek Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Stary, Andy Waligura, Jay Hubenak and former employees of Coca-Cola.

Memorial donations in memory of Dennis may be made to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
