Linda Kay Clayton Collins went to see Jesus on May 7, 2026 at the age of 78.

She was born on February 2, 1948, in El Campo to Jesse E. Clayton and Lorraine Marie Clayton.
Linda was a loving, caring, generous and trusting person. Family was most important to her. She was a faithful member of the First Methodist Church of El Campo, and her friends were dear to her heart always. She loved working with Manna Meals helping others that couldn’t help themselves.

She worked for Troy Lively & Associates for many years before retiring. She loved helping people and putting a smile on everyone’s face.

Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Collins; son, Craig Collins and wife Dee J; grandson, Tyler Collins and wife Carsyn; granddaughter, Cheyenne Dominguez and husband Mark Dominguez; great-grandson, Hudson Dominguez; bonus grandchildren, TJ Proctor, Daniel Proctor and Victoria Laughlin and Riley Meyen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, JE Clayton and Lorraine Clayton and cousin Ivan Olson who all were held deeply in her heart.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, May 11 at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at First Methodist Church in El Campo. The service will be livestreamed at firstmethodistec.org. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Collins, Mark Dominguez, Brian Olson, Daniel Proctor, TJ Proctor and Mike Smaistrla. Honorary pallbearers will be Hudson Dominguez.

Memorial donations may be made to First Methodist Church of El Campo or Scotty’s House in Bryan, TX.
