Bryan was my team mate on the Austin football team for all the years I played at AHS.  I remember him as being very popular on campus and always had a winning smile.  I was saddened to learn of his death on this website.  Overall he was fun to have on the team and we were blessed to have had him as our friend and fellow athelete.

When Bryan moved to El Paso from Sundown, TX, he lived a block from me and we became fast friends because of our love of all sports. We walked to school together every day. I was very shy and insecure and he was outgoing and popular. He taught me how to flirt and have fun with girls. When I went to college at U. of Houston, he surprised me with several visits. Over the years, I traveled a lot and surprised many friends by showing up without calling ahead as he liked to do. I knew he lived in Denver, and looked forward to surprising him some day. Finally, a few years ago, I made it to Denver only to find he had died the previous summer of throat cancer. I learned that he had a son and daughter and grandchildren. He had worked at the Air Force base as head or the computer division and had become an excellent golfer. And by the way he played a role in TX Western's national basketball championship. I miss him greatlly.       Bill Glaves

I have received a little more information on Bryan's life from his sister, Mayola. He served 2 yrs in Vietnam in communications. He then worked for the govt in civil service and ran the computer division at an air force base in Denver. He retired before he found out he had cancer. Mayola feels blessed that she was able to take care of him toward the end.
