Mark and I walked home from school in 9th and 10th grade most days. We discussed world, national and personal problems; solved none. Mark gave me some insight into the Jewish faith for which I am still grateful. He was a good guy and I hope had a good life.
I believe I met Mark in the eighth grade. Like Allen who commented earlier, Mark and I had conversations about all sort of things. At that age I was quite naive about the Jewish faith. When Yom Kippur occured during the ninth grade, I talked a long time with Mark about that religious holiday. I was always impressed how gentle Mark was. Yet I knew within his Interior self he was a passionate person and had the makings of a strong intellect. I wish I could have known Mark Lipstet better those many years ago. - Bob Blystone May 2017
