Hey Everybody! Looking forward to seeing everybody at the 20-Year Reunion. Plans are in the works. Looking forward to it :)

I was in El Paso last week - my daughter didn't want to leave, the grandmas cried and now I'm back in San Antonio and I'm homesick :(

My vote is to have the reunion in the summer so that I can bring my kids along and show them around. If it is during school it will be hard to break away for a long weekend.

If the reunion is like any Burges dance, we will hang out for 20 minutes and then head off to the Copa for drink and drown...Looking forward to the weekend.

I think scheduling the reunion in the summer would be a great idea. Its been a while since I've been back home and it would sure be nice to be able to take my kids with me.

If I'm not mistaken, class reunions are held at the same time as homecoming week. If thats the case, maybe having a smaller get together for those that would like to attend and the Class Reunion during the summer.

Thanks Edna, Jennifer, Maribel, Patsy, Evelyn for organizing this reunion. Can't wait to catch up!!

Hey guys, glad to hear that this is a go. I've heard great things about the class of 86 and 87 reunions and I was getting a little jealous. I know ours will be the best. I've come in contact with GEE, Grace Batres, Jose Santos and Victor Nunez and they are all wanting more information. I will submit this website to them so they will have access to the same information as us on here. Thanks again ED for getting this started. We will definately have a great time and look forward to seeing each and everyone of you there.

John Alvarez has assured me he would be willing to shuttle everyone around in his brown 1970's party van from venue to venue if the reunion is held this Summer. I call "shotgun"

Also, can I please request more G 'N R songs for the home page?

04/02/08 09:02 PM #8

Edna Dominguez

Sure, I'll work on it. Never would have figured you for a G N R kinda guy.

04/03/08 10:14 PM #9

John Alvarez

It's on like Donkey Kong. I will drive the van but everyone has to chip in for gas money and I have to be home by midnight. That and we need a pony keg for the ride.

And Mario has promised that if the party gets busted he will let you into the attic this time.

Just don't let Barb Pehle open the door and let all those cops, state troopers, TABC agents, Border Patrol, sheriffs, FBI and Texas Rangers in.

Oh yeah - I vote for a change to the music too. G 'N R works or maybe some Van Halen.

John's personal favorite, Milli Vanilli, is worthy of some playtime as well.

So is it true now that we'd need a passport to get across the bridge to the Copa?

04/05/08 12:20 PM #13

Alma Fuentes

good call on adding G N R! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

04/09/08 02:49 PM #14

Edna Dominguez

John your favorites have been loaded: Van Halen and Milli Vanilli. Have fun listening.

04/10/08 09:38 PM #15

John Alvarez

Thanks Edna. I always forget which one was Milli and which one was Vanilli.

Bummer that we need a passport to go get $0.25 tequila shots at Spanky's. They probably cost $0.50 by now anyway.

Grace Batres

Thanks All for organizing! Look forward to seeing you all there! I vote GNR and Chico's Tacos!

04/11/08 03:13 PM #17

Victor Nunez

For the dinner we can have Chico's, I'm with Grace. Just make sure it's not as well publizied as the Loya party or I'm sure we're bound to have some law enforcement visitors...

I say we have drinks, toilet paper Burges and then hit chicos. Grace you brought back some memories, hell while we're at it we'll toilet paper Ross too..

Hello all as long as John Alverez picks us all up, I will drop a few bucks for gas and a small keg... Summer time would be the best time for a get together wIth kids time away from work etc....

Well, Very Glad to finally get some news about this reunion. For a minute there....I thought it was not gonna happen. Certainly looking forward to this, since I missed the ten year. Hope to see many of you guys out there!!!

04/12/08 10:34 AM #21

Gloria Sanchez

I just went to Cosco and bought some toilet paper in bulk...It's on!

Rik Avalos

Geez, I haven't cracked up like that in a while... John, be sure to bring as many Cult CD's for the ride to Juarez. it's going to be great seeing you guys... I definitely vote for Chico's at some point that night... typically best at about 2:30 a.m. Whenever we have the reunion, I definitely want to be there, so as long as we have a month or so notice, that will give me enough time to request PTO and get plane tix for Tori and I.

Reading these posts and laughing too... I have a very vivid memory of Greg Kordek and I being picked as the choosen ones to pretend we were a very married yuppy couple on halloween buying "wine coolers", people magazine, and gum ha ha... it worked : ) Lots of memories senior year with the debate team... James, Albert, Greg, Sunday, and Matt! It was a good year seems like such a long time ago.

As far as chicos... for those of you who moved out of the area isn't it funny we crave those things and I have yet to hear of someone's spouse or kids liking Chico's tacos!

04/12/08 03:11 PM #24

Lori Gearhart (Daniell)

Rick and I don't make it to El Paso much, but when we do, we love Chico's! Our kids eat french fries when we go!
Thanks, Edna, for organizing all this. It's great!
