William was born March 2, 1971 in El Paso, TX. He was a graduate of Texas A&M with a degree in Computer Science. He died of an asthma attack on August 9, 2002.
I didn't know William, until I joined Academic Decathlon, even though we lived around the street from each other. He motivated(pounded) me to work hard for Decathlon. We both grew up with bad cases of asthma, but I guess I was fortunate to outgrow mine as I finished up college. We both went into Comp.Sci. but I couldn't talk him into staying at UTEP. I know he loved that field, as passionately as I do! He was funny and creative under that "tough" side. At the time he thought he acted too awkward around girls, but weren't we all? He may have been the hardest working guy in school I knew. I know that in itself was a very good and rare thing!
