School Story
I was sitting next to Howard Williams in class (what class? I don't know. Does it matter?) Anyway, I get this really bad pain in my gut. It gets progressively worse until the point where I can't even sit up in my chair; I'm totally sliding down forward out of the chair trying to keep my body straight as a plank to relieve pressure on the pain. Howard looks at me and says, "What's wrong?" "Stomach hurts," I answer. "Oh, don't worry;" he makes a motion with his hand as if to wave away the issue, "It's probably just your appendix." Two hours later I was in the ER getting a totally unexpected appendectomy. Thanks Howard!
