I was truly saddened to hear of David's passing. He was one of the first people to contact me last year when I was trying so hard to find anything out about the reunion. We were even going to try to put our brains together and do a web site. I still have that email to this day with the link to his mock up. I'm sure for his closest buddies, this will be a bit bitter sweet.God Bless David.

I never really spent much time with David. Similar to Alicia I remember when talk of the reunion came up last year, he sent me an email through classmates.com. It's sad he won't physically be present, but I'm sure many fond memomories will be shared by his close friends making his presence felt by all. Rest in Peace.Jorge Villegas
As some of you know, David was like a brother to me and had been since we were at Henderson. David was such a great guy! He loved his family and friends very much. Growing up David had to deal with many serious family issues but he always had a great attitude and never let anything bring him down. I loved hanging out with David because he was such a positive person and just made you feel real good about yourself and about life in general. For years we hadn't seen each other much since he was away serving in the Navy and I was here in El Paso. When he finally came back to EP I was away at law school or in Dallas. But inspite of the distance between us, we always kept in touch. Since moving back to EP several years ago, David and I got to spend more time together and became closer still. I was looking forward to spending more time with David in the future but unfortunately that was not meant to be. I miss my friend very much!As we make plans to attend our 20th year reunion, know that David was very excited about getting together and seeing all of you at the reunion, so please honor him by having a great time and enjoying each other's company as I know he would have done.

Words cannot express how sad I was to hear of his passing. I remember working with David and Jorge at Peter Piper Pizza, we always had our share of laughs. Between both guys, they always made work very enjoyable. Thanks for all the memories! God Bless you always. My heart goes out to you and your family.Gill "Fish" Herrera
Dave, we miss you. Ride hard and fast Bro....one day we'll all ride in the pack together.Robert Ortega
David was a true brother and friend to to me and everyone he was around. So many memories I have of us and all we did since first grade at Clardy. We played football against each other while growing up and then played together at Henderson. He was my center and Jorge was my tight end so we all became very close. We used to walk back and forth to school playing the weirdest games while walking. Going into high school David would give Jorge and I a ride to school in his white truck he called "carcacha". I always think of David and wish we can have him back but God had other plans for him. David loved his family and was a good son, David was a great father and husband. David will be greatly missed but not forgotten. We all miss you and love you!!!
