SMILEY, ROGER of Duncanville, TX passed away March 31, 2002. Born
April 12 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Frank Herbert & Josephine
(Hershberger) Smiley. Survived by his son Frank Smiley & wife Leslie,
grandchildren Greyson & Ethan Smiley, parents Herb & Jo Smiley,
sisters Marcia Smiley, Cheryl Fricke & Karen Smith, former wife Donna
Smiley along with many nieces & nephews.
During our senior year Roger was a member of the Irvin Band and the ROTC Band. This was the year when the band had "a tremendous season."
Remembrance
Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.

Darrell Paulk
Roger was a lifelong friend, who I miss dearly. I will always remember him as a fun loving guy who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger, if asked! I still remember his 51 Chevy that he drove to school every day - it looked like he painted it with red fingernail polish-ha! May he rest in peace!
