In Memory

Sharon Leeann Stone (Westcott)

Sharon Leeann Stone lost her life in a crash of a small private plane. Flying planes seems to be an activity she enjoyed sharing with her husband.

Leeann was an active, hardworking and fun loving member of our Class of '63. She was very well liked by her classmates. Her selection to "Who's Who at Irvin High School" in 1963 reflected her outstanding character, and her dedicated service to her school and fellow students. Her activities and honors listed in the 1963 yearbook include: Sigma Phi, Junior Princess, Senior Favorite, ROTC sponsor, Officers Club, Homecoming court, Student Council and Club Panel President.

Leeann will remain in our heart and in many happy memories.

Remember me

Remember Me:
To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty - remember me.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity - remember me.
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved,
the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.

Margaret Mead, American writer and poet (1901 - 1978)
