Vija was always so beautiful. So tall and elegant, in my eyes. She attended the reunion twenty years ago and I recall her still as sunny and fun as ever. It is hard to realize that not only is she no longer the girl we knew from high school, but that now she is truly gone.
I have fond memories of Vija in junior high at Pierre Moran. She was always beautiful and fun to be around. I had fun spending the nights at her house - her mom made these Latvian pastries that were to die for. She was always so smart and talented. I will miss her.
