Richard past away 6-12-2024.  Here is his obituary.

Richard "Dick" L. May, 71, passed away June 12, 2024 at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born June 14, 1952, in Elkhart to Raymond & Mary (Aman) May.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson, Matthew Freeman, and a sister, Jean Woodworth,

 Surviving is his daughter, Rachel (Jose Torres) May, 2 grandchildren, Elisa Torres, Jose "Justice" Torres, a companion, Marie Langston,

stepdaughter, Kelly (Mike Perry) Downton, 4 step grandchildren, Brandon, Kelsey, Hailey, Kaydence, and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Atticus and Mona. Also surviving are 2 siblings, Raymond May, Karen (Tim) Toth, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Dick graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1970 and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a member of the N.R.A., loved spending time with his family, fishing and playing cards with them.

 Per his wishes cremation will take place and a visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 3 p.m. celebration of life service, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.

 The family would like to give a special thank you to his nephew, Jim for the wonderful care he took of him here in Elkhart.
