Walt Taylor, a member of the Tulalip Indian Tribe in Maysville Washington, moved to Ellensburg to be raised by his Aunt and Uncle after his mother died in 1970.  He attended Ellensburg schools and graduated in 1981.  He enjoyed participating on wrestling teams throughout his school years, but his real love was working with, riding, and breaking horses.

Walter died March 3, 1999 in his hometown of Marysville when a large tree fell across his car during a fierce windstorm.

Walt was one of my very best friends from the time we first met in the 6th grade.  He was a very likable person and a good friend to many of us in the class of '81.  I'm sure he would like to attend our class reunions, but since he can't be here, I wanted to honor his memory and special friendship by writing this tribute to him.

Miss you bud.
