David Brian Seelye, Sr., 66, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Hospice Home in Burlington, NC.  David was born July 16, 1951 in Elmira, NY, the son of Edward L. & Joyce Curtis Seelye (both deceased).   

He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam in early 1970s.  He enjoyed bluegrass and country music and loved playing his guitar. 

He is survived by his wife Marian Knight Seelye.  Other survivors include David B. Seelye, Jr. and Nadina S. Dewalt, his step-children Philip Knight (Phyllis), Sharon K. Daniel and Michael Knight (Nancy); grandchildren Caitlyn and David E. Seelye, Charlie and Angel Dewalt: step-grandchildren Jason Daniel (Cassandra), Krista Daniel, Erin and Kenneth Knight, Mikayla, Ashlyn and Hudson Knight.  He is also survived by three brothers:  Edward C. Seelye (Karen), Richard D. Seelye (Deb) and Larry A. Seelye.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 25th at Community Baptist Church, 617 Cornwallis Road, Garner, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of David Seelye to Hospice & Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
