O'HERRON Lawrence M. "Larry of The Lake" 
Age 63, of Hammondsport, NY died Tuesday night, January 29, 2008, after a very difficult battle with cancer. With family by his side at the Robert Packer Hospital, Larry left this earth peacefully. He was born April 22, 1944, the son of the late Lawrence G. and Ann Polak O'Herron. Larry is survived by his wife, Gordana Prelic of Chicago, IL, with her son, Emil; daughter, Christina O'Herron of Painted Post; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Golas of New Tripoli, PA; 3 grandsons, Liam, Brandon, and Rian; and sister and brother-in-law, Roseann and David Converse of Buffalo, NY, with their children. Larry was a retired NYS Corrections Officer. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the 1960's and was stationed in Korea and various countries in Europe, assigned as a dental assistant working with the civilian occupation. Larry's passions in life included an amazing talent of water skiing, boating, and most of all, his overall love for Keuka Lake, spending summers there since childhood. Additionally, Larry began a musical career drumming as a teenager, playing and singing for the following bands…The Upsetters, Imagination, G C Express, Fifth Avenue, and Clockwork.
