WALKER, Gary E. Sr.

Age 65 of Elmira, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 unexpectedly at home. Gary was born in Elmira, a son of the late Clarence and Eleanor Hanmore Walker. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice Baldwin Walker. Gary is also survived by his children, Gary (Missy) Walker Jr. of Elmira, Dee (David) Merkley of North Fort Myers FL, Michael (Jennifer) Walker of Elmira, Thomas (Amy) Walker of Oxford NY, Stacey (Kevin) Sullivan of Wellsburg; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother Leonard (Pat) Walker of Elmira; sisters, Elaine (Bill) Jenkins of Fort Myers, FL, Melvajean Clark of Elmira, Diane (Roy) Jayne of Millerton, Barbara Rouse of Naples NY; several nieces and nephews. Gary was an avid outdoorsman. He was a Boy Scout Master for 20 years for Troops 21, 20 and 16. Gary was a past member and governor, and obtained Fellowship, of the Loyal Order of Moose #517 and was a past member of the Eagles Club.
