This has not been a good year for us..My wife Elaine has had three back surgeries, the last of which was yesterday dec. 17....she has been in the hospital or re-hab for three months and will not be home for Christmas..She is currently at Moffitt cancer center in Tampa..Pray for her and may all of you have a joyous Christmas..I guess getting old is not fun, but it beats the alternative..right now she doesn't agree..Love to all and may God bless you...Ralph Horton

I  read today the loss of Sam Poad.  Sam and I shared time whe we both were students in Elyria.  Sam was a great memory and  I know God didn't make enough Sam Poads.  Like the rest of the class we all will miss him  and all are  better for knowing him.

Living in the twilight years of our lives, many of you like me may have thought about what happens to us when we die? If you are also religious like me, you may have also wondered, considering the life I have led, will I ascent into heaven or will I be thrust into hell for all eternity? How can I know with certainty my ultimate destination? In answer to these and other questions, Pastor Jeff Norris of Perimeter Church in Atlanta, Georgia has just completed a four-part biblically-based series of sermons on Heaven that answers questions such as: how can I be assured of not going to hell, where is heaven and how do I get there? I personal believe these sermons to be the greatest ones I have ever heard on the subject of Heaven. I strongly suggest you all go to www.perimeter.org on your computer and click on the Heaven series starting with “Longing for Heaven” and watch the entire series. Disclosure: I am a member of Perimeter Church and have served as a Stephen Minister. After watching the series, let me know what you think. Don.

Had a great time at our class luncheon this year.  Was able to talk to a number of our classmates.  Looking forward to next year.
