In memory of you who was one of the reasons I was inspired to join the great Bond of Kappa Alpha Psi. With you and Finger leading us we turned the EState Nupes into what they were meant to be leaders and men of purpose. I thank you for the many times you directed me, listened to me and provided me with the "sticky icky".
Make sure you have the Kappa Punch ready when I cross over to the Chapter Invisible and then head over to Butcher ( I promise Moe, I won't bust another tambourine, so open the cabinet)!
William Wesley King Moore, alias “Moe”, was a national treasurer while at Emporia State University. Many considered Moe as the equivalent of a One Man Welcoming Committee at the university. Those who came in contact with him, immediately recognized the many characteristics that made him a very special individual. He exhibited the smooth demeanor of the ultimate “Kappa Man.” Moe’s kindness, caring attitude and thoughtfulness was only exceeded by his infectious personality. To know Moe, was to appreciate his unique individuality.
As a seasoned member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, his influence on the younger brothers that followed him was immeasurable to the success of the fraternity. As his cousin, on occasion, some of our lifestyle choices were different. Nevertheless, I had the utmost respect and love for him. In addition to providing me a solid foundation for Kappa, he taught me life lessons that I still utilize today. Many individuals, greek affiliated or not, reading this tribute, will reflect on their interaction with Moe, and smile. While wearing his tinted wine colored glasses, he subtly made you feel special.
“Moe,” as each year exceeds the next, since your passing to “Our Golden Shores”, the void is unfulfilled. You are missed considerably, and will never be forgotten.
Cous, thank you for always having my back. Until we meet again, continue to rest in peace.
