One of my "favorite Cal prep best friends "in addition to Julie,s comments, I was in that accident, & it was , Chris & kit Brauns decision to rush Steve to UCLA's emergency, that saved his life! D.W.
3 16 2017 Update ! Dennis Bell passed,last year!
With Steve & Christian now!All these Buds went to damn young!
As the last survivor of that car accident I feel very odd. My back and neck are severely damaged from it. My life is entirely limited by the after affects and lingering arthritis and stenosis, etc...
Chris was very unique. I enjoyed staying with him in their house. We hung out for about six months then not much after that. don't think he liked me all that much. Though we did spend a lot of time together. who knows.
Steve was also a good friend. sad to hear he is dead as well.
I still remember the accident, watching steve over correct after the rear end broke loose and then nailing the throttle while the wheel was one half turn from where it should have been. We hit that mountain hard and flipped fast. If not for our dear Kit Braun, who I would still like to get in touch with, steve would have died for sure. no one could have driven the canyon as fast or as well as he did with that fantastic 455?
Jullie, I am surprised you remember the accident, I don't know why, but I am. You weren't in Kits' car were you? Oh well. Cal prep was extreme.

This is what I googled on Chris Brando so you do not have to list him under unknown.
Julie Harb (1977)
I find it a bit ironic that Steve Hunio and Chris were both in that horrible car accident and now they both rest in peace.
