Tom Duggan shares with us: Celebration of Life for JOHN IBBOTSON. For those who don't know, Charles Ibbotson's older brother John Ibbotson passed away last weekend. Charles is not of FB and asked me to post that the Ibbotson family is hosting a Celebration of Life for John this Saturday, SEPTEMBER 3RD at 1PM at the Progress Park pavilion and all who wish to celebrate John's life are invited. The pavilion is off Prentice Ave (just south of Belleview) and Huron St. Take Huron St. north off Prentice until it dead ends and then park. Please bring a side dish to share and your own lawn chair. Bring an adult beverage to share, but it is a park, so keep it on the down low. Please share this information with folks who knew John and would like to celebrate his life.Tom Duggan shares with us: Celebration of Life for JOHN IBBOTSON. John, you will always have a special place in my heart. In high school I can remember you as a very happy, fun person who always made me smile and feel happy even when I was sad. I had so much fun being in the play High Button Shoes with you, we had some very funny moments that made being in the play even more fun. You will be missed, but I'm glad you are at peace now. Fly free with the Angels John. Love, Anne🌹>

In life's unplanned & untimely circumstances I made a choice yesterday to attend John Ibbitson's, my sweet friend's, memorial services rather than a wedding knowing that I'd likely not ever get a chance to ever see this upstanding Englewood family again! I hesitate to refer to refer to him here as 'Lil John becaose his presence was always so HUGE wherever he was! I will always remember John as a kind & caring gentle soul. I am so happy I went because the day had such an unplanned sweetness & I met some amazing people & family members. I sensed John's presence in the serenity of the secluded location of an old hangout of ours. So pleased that the struggles of thiss life are over fo him. RIP buddy.
