Harvey P. Rasmussen, Jr., 62, of 268 Palisade Ct., Girard, died Saturday, March 22 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Erie, following a lengthy illness. Born September 18, 1945 in Erie, he was a son the late Harvey P. and Elizabeth Page Rasmussen, Sr.

Harvey retired from the US Air Force after 24 years of service. He was a member of Girard American Legion Post #494 and VFW Post 2341 in Albion. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Nichol.

He is survived by his wife, In Kyong O, of Lake City; a daughter, Melissa Horwath, of Erie; a son, Brian Rasmussen, and his wife, Angela, of Erie; two grandsons, Joshua and Noah Rasmussen of Erie; and three nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in Burton's All Faiths' Chapel on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev.
