Richard H. Niebauer, Jr., age 56, of Erie, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on October 10, 1952, a son of the late Richard H. Niebauer, Sr. and Edith Rose Shuster Niebauer.

He was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School class of 1960, [Editor note: assuming this should be 1970] and then joined the Marines, serving during the Vietnam War. After his service he worked for many years for Grimm Industries. He was married to Sharon Moyer Niebauer, whom he knew from the age of 16. He loved music, and was especially fond of the “oldies” He also enjoyed fishing and bingo.

Richard is survived by his wife Sharon, three daughters: Katina Moyer Hobson and her husband Andre of Erie; Lois Deyarmin and her daughter Kayla Rose Deyarmin also of Erie, and Casandra Batykefer and her husband Craig of Girard. He also leaves a son Richard Niebauer III of Corry, seven grandchildren and a sister Fran Hetz and her husband Arthur of Waterford.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street in Erie, Pa. 16502 on Saturday from 5:00 till 7:00 pm, and are invited to stay for the service at 7:00.
