Karen J. Panetta Seaman, age 56, of Erie, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center after a lifelong illness.
She was born in Erie on August 28, 1951 a daughter of Genevieve Panetta and the late Carmen Panetta. She was a 1970 graduate from Strong Vincent High School and retired from Saint Vincent Health Center where she was employed in Purchasing as a buyer.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Seaman, two step-daughters, Kimberly Creese and her husband Matt of Virginia and Hallie Lobaugh and her husband Jonathan of New York.
In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Mark Panetta and his wife Amy of Indiana and John Panetta and his wife Dawn of Erie and a sister, Holly Augostino of Erie. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Karen was blessed by caregivers, Nancy Fioretti, Laura Jackson, Fran Segal, Lora Thaler and Jerry Cheesebourgh. She was able to stay in her home because of the care received from them.
Friends may call on Saturday morning at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St., Erie, PA 16502 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. George Church at 12 noon.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
