In Memory

Mark Gallagher

Mark J. Gallagher, 51, died peacefully at the home of his parents on January 21, 2007, after a three year battle with cancer. Born on March 26, 1955, he was the son of Joseph L. and Rose Marie (Nanni) Gallagher of Erie.

He moved to Houston, Texas after graduating from Strong Vincent High School in 1973, and pursued a career in the oil industry. For 27 years, he was employed with several oil companies in Houston, most recently with National Oil Company as Senior Design Draftsman, and Derricks SL as Senior Projects Engineer, running their office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His career took him all over the world and touched many lives. His final journey brought him home to the love of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by three sisters, all of Erie: Carolyn Patama, husband Dan, Colleen Bloomstine, husband John, and Lori Vitale, husband Richard; and by ten loving nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and several cousins.

Honoring Mark’s wishes, no calling hours will be observed and services will be held privately by the family. Brugger Home For Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, is handling arrangements.
