James Cicero

James F. Cicero, 41, West 38th Street, Millcreek Township, and formerly of 630 Cherry St., died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at his home. A resident of Erie most of his life, he was born in Aberdeen, Md., Oct. 10, 1957, son of Raymond F. and Pearl Lawson Cicero of Erie. He was a 1975 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and earned a degree in natural sciences from Gannon University. He taught science at Wilson Junior High School in Erie before retiring. He had also been an assistant football coach at Academy High School for several years. He served as a firefighter in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He enjoyed camping. Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Danielle Cicero of Erie; a son, James R. Cicero of Erie; a brother, Joseph R. Cicero and his wife Betti of Girard; two sisters, Carol Anne Cicero of Erie and Cathy Gallagher and her husband, John, of Erie; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave., Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a prayer service there at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery..
