Floyd R. Lewis III Floyd R. Lewis (Ron, Becker, Slim) age 51, along time resident of Erie and originally from Memphis, Tenn., died Mar. 13, 2008, at the Erie Veterans Memorial Hospital after fighting a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was a 1975 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and served in the United States Army. Floyd enjoyed drawing, fishing and traveling. Floyd was preceded in death by his mother Katie Lewis and his grandmother Leona Downey of Memphis and his brother Michael Lewis of Memphis.

He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters Mylisa Lewis of Arizona, Chasidee and Myleea of Calif., his father Floyd Lewis of Erie, two brothers Wendell Lewis of Memphis, Tenn., and Tyrell Eddy of Denver, Colo., three sisters Cathi Lewis, Kasheba Eddy and Shanika Eddy of Erie.

He is further survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, a great-niece, nephews and friends, including his close companion Jennene Richards. No calling hours will be observed. Cremation by Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc.
