Ronald C. Harper, age 50 of Houston, Texas and formerly of Erie, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Spring Branch Hospital in Houston, following a seven month illness.

He was born in New Castle, Pa., September 25, 1957, the son of the late James C. and Dorothy M. Purdy Harper.

He graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1978, and attended St. George Catholic Church while in Erie.

Survivors include his Aunt Thea Howard of Dallas; Uncle James Hudson of Hicksville, N.Y.; cousins Janine Howard of Houston, John Howard of Charlotte, N.C., and Christian Howard of Dallas.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Saturday from 10a.m. until the time of service at 11:45a.m. with Rev. William Biebel officiating.

Burial in Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Spina Bifida Association, 4590 MacArthur Blvd., North/West Suite 250, Washington, DC 20007.
