Helen Annette DeBoe McCullum, age 48, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, at UMPC Hamot. She was born October 15, 1965, in Erie, Pennsylvania, daughter of Beverly DeBoe of Erie and the late Clifton DeBoe.
 

She was a lifelong resident of Erie. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1984 and continued her education to receive her C.N.A. and Childcare Degrees. She was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board. She was formerly employed by Russell Standard for 11 years before starting McCullum Family Daycare. She enjoyed watching the shopping channel and she especially enjoyed cooking. Helen loved spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
 

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Henry B. Stovall, her mother-in-law, Nora McCullum and her best friend, Sharon Johnson (Puny).
 

In addition to her mother, Beverly Ann Frith DeBoe, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Christopher McCullum of Erie; two sons, Dominique McCullum of Erie and Cameron McCullum of Pittsburgh Pa; a daughter, Shamelia DeBoe of Erie; three brothers: James DeBoe, Robert Schley both of Erie, and David Schley of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sisters, Rita Pointer (Joe) of Chicago, Ill., Dorothea Glover (Terry), Gina DeBoe (Mandrel), and Tonia Schley all of Erie; one grandchild, Zy'Shawn DeBoe;, two godmothers, Donna Rickert and Marilyn Johnson; one god aunt, Jackie Mathis Beardsley; four godchildren, Albert Porter, Taja Porter, RaSean Coleman, DeGeiona Edwards; four godsisters, Kerrinique Thurston, Aundrea Porter, Shandra Roberts, Teleshia Martin; four godbrothers, Frank Thurston, Willie Manus, Bryan Gaines, Wayne Newsome (Flint); Primary Caregivers: Shamelia DeBoe and Shaniequa DeBoe; best friends, Sandy Walker Jones and Caren Shamae Grayson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 

Friends may visit with the family at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 901 East 5th Street, Erie, PA 16507 on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m., and may attend a funeral service on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Anthony Harris, officiating. Interment in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Funeralization by Law Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave., Erie.
