Edward Thompson

Edward Roy Thompson, 36, of Pottstown, PA, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at his home.

He was born Dec. 8, 1965, in Erie, son of Albert and Susan Luber Thompson of Erie.  He worked as an electrical engineer for a pharmaceutical laboratory.  He graduated from Strong Vincent High School and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.  He was a ham radio operator and also enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and aviation.  Survivors include his wife Caren Perschler Thompson; a daughter, Mallory  Thompson, at home;  a sister, Robin Dugan of Harrison, Ark.;  a brother Mark Thompson and his wife, Camille, of Erie;  and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th St.  A service will be held there Friday at 11a.m., officiated by the Rev. John Edwards.  Burial will be private.  Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 34th Street and Civic Court Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104;  or Canine Companions for Independence, Philadelphia Chapter, P.O. Box 1022, Philadelphia, PA 19107-1022.

OMG! I didn't know Eddie had died. I remember him from grade school. His was such a nice guy and so very smart. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed.
