DISCUSSION FORUMS vs. MESSAGE FORUM

Differences / Purposes

The MESSAGE Forum is intended to be a residence for information that does NOT precipitate debate and is NOT to be used for any political or social commentary. 

The purpose of the DISCUSSION Forums is to provide a venue for comment or debate on specific issues.  

If you want to discuss something that doesn’t fit within any of the existing Discussion Forums, another Discussion Forum can be added (see “Details” below).

Within each Discussion Forum, several “Topics” exist.  You can post within an existing Topic or you can create a new Topic (see “Details” below).

How to Use the Discussion Forums

  1. Click on Discussion Forums and review the existing Forums. 
  2. If you believe that one of the existing Forums describes the nature of your intended comments, then click on it.  If you do not find a Forum that satisfies your needs, contact the Website Administrator (click on the “Contact Us” link on the left side of the Home Page) and ask to create a new Forum with a name that you recommend.
  3. Once inside a Forum, you can add your comments to an existing Topic or create a new Topic by clicking on “Post New Topic”.
  4. Once inside a Topic, post your comment by clicking on “Reply”.
  5. If you want to receive all new Forum posts directly to your email rather than needing to search them out, you have a choice:
    1. Select “yes” at the bottom of the Forums page to receive email notice of each new Topic posting in any of the Forums.
    2. Select “yes” at the bottom of a specific Topic (thread) within a Forum to receive email notice of each new response to the Topic.
