RE: Can't get the link, but found the story by going to New Yorker website Posted Friday, July 26, 2024 08:25 AM In a live interview, within the past few days, Trump made it clear he had nothing to do with Project 2025. He said he had not read it. I observed the live interview and have no reason to believe he was less than forthcoming. FYI

RE: Can't get the link, but found the story by going to New Yorker website Posted Friday, July 26, 2024 09:19 AM Regarding Trump's knowledge of Project 2025, I can believe he didn't read it. After all, when he was President, he didn't read his briefing reports. He had his staff give him a simplified version. Face it! He's not a reader. But to think that just because he made a statement and verbally made his words clear, it does not make his words True. After all, he has been reported as speaking thousands of untruths as President and out of office. What is telling is the fact that many of the people who are part of the Trump/MAGA universe are the writers, creators and thought leaders of Project 2025. Trump has never been a policy wonk or an intellectual. However, he has provided cover for those with their hideous authoritarian agenda to do their work behind the scenes, setting up the governmental infrastructure for the hoped for Trump presidency. Trump wants to emulate his buddies Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un. He wants unrestricted power, he wants to enrich his family, he wants adoration. However, I believe most Americans, when they seriously stop to think about it, will realize that from inciting a coup on Jan 6, to presiding over the deaths of millions of Americans through his mishandling of the COVID pandemic, to his numerous bankruptcies, to his dubious moral standards, to being a felon convicted by a jury of his peers; he is not fit to be President, no matter what words come out of his mouth. His lack of empathy, his disregard of anyone who doesn't humble themselves before him, his vengeance toward anyone he feels has "outsmarted" him, his inability to apologize or admit his failings are character traits that anyone with common sense knows are not good qualities in a leader, especially a President of the United States. They are qualities we would encourage our children to avoid, in favor of kindness, compassion, honesty, humility and strong morals, as reflected in all the world religions. Trump along with the MAGA coalition of discontents, extreme right-wing militias, Qanon and the religious fundamentalists who can hypocritically support such an irreligious person - they spell disaster for the United States, if they should implement their agenda. The choice really has been made abundantly clear for the upcoming election - freedom or chaos, unity or divisiveness, love or fear. May God have mercy on us all. |

RE: Can't get the link, but found the story by going to New Yorker website Posted Friday, July 26, 2024 09:50 AM Fortunately, Kamala has a Zenn Diagram that supports the fact that Trump is irrelevant and we can move forward unburdened by what has been. |
