I am so sorry to hear that Fran is no longer with us. I was in her class from first grade, and I remember her as being such a fun and sweet person. I hope that her memory will be a blessing to her family and friends.

I had no idea Fran had passed. So many great memories. We did a 2-woman play together Junior Year and damn, it was great to work with her.

RIP and my condolences to her family.

I am so sad to see Fran's name here.  We were Beth Emet classmates, too, and I can still hear her distinctive laugh - and it still cracks me up!  Does anyone know what happened?  May her memory be a blessing...

I've searched and searched for something about Fran's life or death. Very mysterious.

Does anyone know if she married a "Goldsmith?"  If so, might this obit be her father? If so perhaps the brother  or his wife could have answers.

OR

Did she go to Oberlin?

Did she live outside the USA?

That does look like it was her father. I don't know. I wish we could find out. Fran was in 1st grade with me at Oakton School.

Here's how I'll always remember Fran: We were hanging out around the Baha'i Temple one afternoon (remember when we all used to just talk & talk and all was new to us so we were wired up and never seemed to run out of conversations...) and we walked too close to a tree with some nesting Blue Jays. One of them swooped down and really went after us. I took off running and pretty quick I see I'm by myself. Look back and there is Fran more or less dancing around with the Jay trying to peck her.  It was inconceivable to her that the thing was actually trying to hurt her so she felt no urge to flee - wasn't that Fran?. And as Lisa mentioned she had that great warm giggle/laugh and I can still hear her in that moment having a blast with the whole experience.

Robert, that made me smile. Yes, perfectly Fran. She had such light in her spirit. Thanks for reminding us.

Fran. Brilliant light burning bright. Gifted writer and artist. You will be missed my friend. Rest in peace.
