Jason M. Davis, 36, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born September 4, 1971, in Evansville.

 

Jason was a graduate of North High School in 1989 and attended USI and Ivy Tech. He had been employed at Whirlpool Corp. as an engineering technician for 17 years.

He enjoyed playing racquet ball, tennis, the trumpet and the piano. Jason was an avid Colts fan and loved spending time with his family, friends and pets.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, James E. Davis; and grandparents, James and Eva Martin and Harold and Mary Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Wassmer Davis; mother, Judy Davis; brothers, Jeffrey and Jerry Davis, all of Evansville; mother-in-law, Rita Wass-mer of Poseyville, Ind.; father-in-law, Henry Wassmer of St. Wendel, Ind.; sister-in-law, Tamara Reinhart and husband Brian of Streamwood, Ill.; aunt and uncle, Mary and David Davis of Roanoke, Va.; cousins, Tom and Paige Walling of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Troy and Brooke Robinson of Richmond, Va., and families; and several great-aunts and great-uncles and their families.

Services noon Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Fr. John Silva, Rev. Ernie Godshall and Sr. Leta Zeller, burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
